Would you typically provide transportation for your wedding party or would they be expected to have their own transportation to the wedding ?

(Obviously not after the wedding just to the wedding)
I’m just curious how it’s usually done. Although, I’m sure it would depend on the bride/groom and their budget.

Im starting to realise how expensive & stressful a wedding is by reading these comments. Yikes.

@DarlingSelah They're kind of awful unless you devote yourself to throwing a really good party rather than 'perfect wedding'. Really good party = good wedding.
@DarlingSelah lol weddings are only fun for the guest. I’ve heard many people mention how a wedding is for other people not necessarily the bride/groom. It’s extremely stressful and expensive unless your rich, even then I’m sure it’s stressful probably just not as much.
I don’t plan on being in another wedding though. Like it’s honestly even expensive and annoying for the bridal party. I’ve spent so much money on this bridesmaid dress to do that, then had to get it altered and hem which was almost as expensive as the dress, and then have to drive an hour away to the wedding. 🙄 As well as makeup, hair, and nails being done which I said I’d just do myself because of how much money I’ve already spent. 🤣 all the bridesmaids are going to get their nails done before the wedding but me because I just don’t want to spend anymore money. Not to mention I’ll probably never wear this dress again because of the color. I hate it.

@Stark The best wedding I ever went to (I'm biased because I was MC) was at a brewery. The money went into gifts for the crowd, booze (although bride's father paid for open bar halfway through the night), and decent food. Decorations were homemade, the hair & makeup was done on the cheap through connections, and there weren't too many formalities beyond cutting the cake.

Everyone had a super fun time and a lot of the work was shared out by the wedding party and some guests. It was stressful as hell to plan, but it was reasonable and easy to do well.
@Stark omg this union is built on stress & financial burden. Bad vibes. I couldnt do it 😆 id get married secretly & use the money to spoil myself.

@DarlingSelah Our wedding cost 2000 bucks and we spent almost all of it on dinner and fancy hotel rooms for 15 people. :D
@DarlingSelah @CountScrofula I honestly would dedicate more of the money towards a fun vacation/honeymoon since I really like to travel. I’d have a simple wedding if I were to get married. Idk it’s really not worth all the money and half the time people don’t stay together or even remember their wedding lol. It’s all just for show. I think you can have a classy inexpensive wedding. (All weddings are probably expensive, but I mean not ridiculously over the top expensive)

@Stark Yeah. Basically the rule I found is 'throw a party for the people who want to celebrate you guys' and everyone is happy and you can save money, lol. Saving it for a great honeymoon is a good idea!
@CountScrofula omg that’s a lot how my aunt’s wedding was and it was sooo much fun. All the dresses were made because my uncle makes dresses and he did it for free, a lot of the decorations were inexpensive but looked nice it was plastic gold plates 🤣 which sounds trashy, but it looked really nice, makeup was done by family, hair was done by family. Almost of everything was kind of created. It was so fun and it looked really nice.
@Stark thats sweet 😊 it should be fun.
