If it was up to you

If I had the opportunity to choose between living this life knowing what I was getting into, and not existing, I would never have been born. But if I didn't know I probably would have chosen life like a moron.

Choosing to not exist is a tempting choice, but I think that I would want to be born. I've suffered through horrific experiences that caused me to turn to suicide, but they all have allowed me to connect deeper with others and sympathize with them. Because of my experiences, I have greater knowledge and understanding now. Looking back, I can see the many lives that I've already impacted and changed. I know that I have the potential to do good and help others, so I'm living for that purpose. Since I'm still young, I have no way of knowing what my future holds or the lives that I might touch. I want to live to see that and be able to love others.

That's a tough one. In some ways, not being born at all might not be a bad thing. However, I have learned so much in my life, things I am extremely grateful for. So if I wasn't born, I would have not had those experiences.

I don't think those are the choices. I don't think we choose.
