Misconceptions about feminist movements ?

People generally have a false notion that the feminists aim to build a world where males are reduced to the status of animals and obedient house pets.
It's not true. Rather it is targeting a world full of harmony where women are treated fairly.

These is a disconnect between the definition and practice though. Especially in western countries. In the extreme it is now a hate group. That is why I drop the name and use egalitarian instead. Let the haters have the term feminist. It is too dirty to be cleaned.

@canusernamebemyusername that's very interesting views. May be it just happens in small groups. Generalizing that to the whole feminist group may not be fair.

@canusernamebemyusername People hated feminists 30 years ago. Same deal. It's not like the 'old feminists' wre good and the new ones are crazy. It remains a good idea.
@BoldSam Yeah I'll admit I and no one should generalize. I have met many feminists and most of them have been very sexist. I have been told to man up, real men don't cry, give a woman my pay, etc... I only had one feminist friend that want real equality. Another friend I had made a good point though. Those that are not sexist usually don't go around telling people. They just live their lives and treat both sexes equally. The ones that are sexist and full of hate though are the ones that scream the loudest. So it can actually just be a small minority making all the fuss. And I do think it has to do with where a person lives. Like you don't see these petty fights in third world countries where women are fighting for actual equality. You see this pettiness in places where people have no real problems and thus have the luxury to complain about the slightest inconvenience. But in the end I think you and me are on the same side. Just using different terms.

@canusernamebemyusername That's a very good observation 👌. I pity those feminists who are greedy. Their greediness are in fact masking the problems of women living in not so favourable circumstances.
@BoldSam I'm glad that there has been progress in your country but I'm sure there is still a long way to go. India is a great culture and country.

@canusernamebemyusername Thank you. I hope situation will improve. Which part of the world do you live ?
@BoldSam US. We are a spoiled country:(

@canusernamebemyusername Good thing is that you are developed in many aspects. Now you just need to focus on simple things. I read feminists there are eagerly waiting for the first modern day female president.
@BoldSam Yeah. Sadly a lot of women just don't seem to like politics. And I can't blame them either. Lol So we don't really get many female candidates :(
