Racism.
I knew pretty early in age that I thought differently than my family. I never understood why they did not want me playing with other children simply because they were black. I never listened, though, I played with anyone I wanted to and as I grew older I fought tooth and nail with my mother over it. Eventually, she realized the error of her ways.

@JaggedLittlePill Awesome! I grew up with racist jabs and remarks daily. The N word was thrown around by several close to me. I survived to not continue that family trend and now I'm very triggered by it.
