How to become independent after becoming blind.

@Mal42 My boyfriend's uncle is too, but he can hear a pin drop on the carpet. God bless you! ✨💙

@Peaches I can hear everything, especially people's conversations.

I hated it in hospital as I was put by a door and I could hear all the conversations at the desk including telephone conversation too. I asked if I could be moved as it felt lack of patient confidential. But I couldn't be moved. I'm still learning to handle being blind.

@Mal42 How can you read?👀
Mal42 · 46-50, M
@Peaches I get this asked a lot. As you have an Uncle whose blind, then how does he read?

I have a good mobile that I can make things bigger.

@Mal42 Uncle Dean didn't read at all. He couldn't see anything. :(

@Peaches I am able to see something so I'm very lucky. Even though, I am registered blind. Not every blind person is blind and it's misconception. What does blind mean? Well it means you not supposed to see anything. But this is misguided as I said many people who are blind can see something.

I have severely damaged eyes due to radiotherapy I had it every day for a month.
