What would be good to wear to semi formal?

My school has a semi formal coming up in a couple weeks. I'm not all that sure what to wear. Just wondering if anyone has any opinions.

Well the dress will match whatever color I decide to paint my nails, and I'm just going to wear Sandal flats, since that's what I enjoy wearing anyway
