I think the concept of "race" needs to be reassessed. I firmly believe there is only one race: human, homo sapiens. The characteristics used to distinguish people groups have more to do with "ethnicity" and culture, traditions. Whenever I'm asked to identify my race, I respond "human" or mark "other", because the features considered "racial" in nature are determined by less than one percent of our shared DNA. Everything else comprises our humanity, differentiating us not from each other, but from every other species on this planet.
My answer to the question is yes I feel good, and yes, I feel bad. We still have a long way to go in the refinement process.
