You must remember that when I was a teen it was the mid 70s when there was a very strong memory of partying in the 60s. You would not believe how big the first joint I smoked was. Let me put it this way. We used the paper provided in the Cheech and Chong album! 😁

I have been told by my former HS students that pot back in my day was weak. I asked them if they ever had Panama Red and they say no. I told them that you really don’t know the quality that the Mafia imported from the Columbia Cartel then. 😁
It was a totally different “communal” experience where everyone shared and all was common. Five years later people became much more possessive, bogarts and it wasn’t as fun as the first time I smoked. I think it took me 5 times before I got legit high though. Most of the weed was Jamaican, Michoacán from Mexico or Alcopulco Gold or regulate Mexican, Columbian Brown or Gold. In 1976 there was a flood of Columbian Gold and it was really good so I felt spoiled. It was normal to smoke 2 to 3 times a day and the school officials hated us. I was suspended for ten days for possessing weed at school.
