One of the older generations - do you prefer living in the digital age, compared to life back in the 70's and 80's? Life appeared to be less stressful

I’m glad I was a teenager before the internet. We were our own entertainment back then, and it was all about hanging out, driving our cars around, going to concerts, etc, but whatever it was, we got out of the house and did things.

@SW-User I agree. I remember getting on the bike, riding through the bush etc. There was no PC games, no internet

@SW-User There was Internet in the 80s, I used it.

Technically, it was around in the 60’s, but it wasn’t commercially prolific until the 90’s. I know there were some basic BBS’s, but it wasn’t really on the radar of the vast majority of teenagers until the mid-90’s. If you were using it in the 80’s, you were definitely on the cutting edge at that time. @SW-User

@SW-User yeah, I was teaching myself skills independently of school that I would use later, and the early Internet was essential to the more advanced part of that. I'm glad I was there before it went commercial, it seems like this cozy little Garden of Eden in retrospect even though people acted exactly the same way on it as they do now.
