I believe that gender is brain structure and what we associate with females is biologically different from what we associate with males (that's why some people feel like males with female brains and vice versa)
Quite often humour involves lewdness and meanness, that's why every comic, especially female ones, are over-the-top with their sex jokes. This kinda mindset is not one socially encouraged with women, and I believe it also runs counter to their natural instincts of nurturing those around them and forming deep connections. Humour ties right into the male's tendency to define themselves on a pecking order though destructive means.

@plungesponge Sometimes, when I find a nasty joke offensive, people will say, "You have no sense of humor." I sometimes respond by saying, "Actually I do have a sense of humor. It's just a little more discriminating." But people find that annoying, so I've learned to just keep my reactions to myself, most of the time.
