I read left, centrist and right wing newspapers here, and left and centrist American newspapers. They're surprisingly similar in their reporting. The only thing that differs is the alt right. Plenty of what is reported can be easily picked apart but whenever it is, there seems to be schoolyard tactics to stifle any scrutiny or debate.

In general then, not much difference, but I'd always instinctively feel that a media operated by big business is going to hold a certain view and some of our news organisations which are not-for-profit and funded by the people can potentially be more free in what they say (although aren't always because of criticism from the right and their need to be representative as opposed to reactionary).
