Do you feel as though life is passing you by?

Are you actively involved with the world outside on a daily basis or do you seemingly sit on the sidelines watching everyone else keep busy?

On the sidelines.

Do you remember when it started to be that way for you?

Probably back in childhood. I have been an introvert as far as I can remember.

I wonder if it's a feeling a majority of introverts feel. I've certainly always felt like the outsider myself.

Probably a lot of introverts feel disconnected. Some want it, too. I want my space but get so lonely sometimes. So I need to connect at times. I sometimes think if I were more fully engaged I might be more fulfilled, happier, and likely feel less lonely. But I hide away in my apartment on the computer and do not go out and live my life, other than going to work and doing chores, or wandering aimlessly around the countryside, or in malls and museums, anything to kill time. Sigh.
