Have you ever met somebody who looked as if they disliked you at the first sight?

You just met a group of new people. You don't know each other and you try to be friendly to everybody. Everybody seems to respond to you the same, except for one who talks normally to others but when you try talking to them they give you a cold one word reply, don't even look into your eyes and you feel that they just don't want to talk to you.

I met three people like that. All men.

Yes. Usually women. Certain women who don't like my humor, my less-than-popular personality, my confidence, insecurities, or my faith.

We're all different. If we can't celebrate our differences, how are we to embrace each other's individuality? Similarities are often beautiful, too. We're able to not just learn from new points of view, but understand and lift up one another in our understanding of one another. There is often something to learn, something to gain. The point is that we might be ready to see, and listen.
