You forgot to put in "I want to be micro-chipped ".

@BoobooSnafu being a bit over dramatic....
@wildbill83 ....nah....just trying to find the humour in all this hullabaloo.

I can see their point - there is value and altruism in the 'idea'.
But - so much needs considering. I don't think they should rush into it.

And as to being 'dramatic ' - i don't mean to.
But you must admit - every step you take gets you one step closer..... Which direction you're heading becomes vitally important .

@wildbill83 How did they verify you? Could you have sent in a photograph of a homeless person?
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
@StepDad2 https://similarworlds.com/settings-account-verify

That homeless person would need to have your face and be holding a sign with your name, today's date, and the name of site/similar worlds...

In other words... it's not something you could fake
StepDad2 · 36-40, M
@wildbill83 I could take his picture holding a sign.
@wildbill83 Hmm - I have four daughters. I have a crap load of photos of them. If I was pervy .and deviant (with the help of technology and eBay)...I could get quite private photos .

I could have multiple accounts here .

I know this is an attempt to make this place more secure. But for every step you take to attempt this. Hackers/criminals/devients (the list goes on)...they already have a way around it.

@BoobooSnafu 👍🏼

@BoobooSnafu It's merely a picture of you holding a piece of paper with your user name, date, and name of site...

If someone really wanted to hack you, they could find out all they needed with a back trace on your IP address. And anyone with access to your ISP can see every thing your doing online that isn't encrypted (what browser you're using, when you're online, what sites you've visited, what you've downloaded or uploaded, etc.) It's how they catch people for movie/music piracy.

@wildbill83 WTF? Signing off. Y’all can keep my nudes I got off porn sites.
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
@BoobooSnafu then there's your smart phone, if a would be hacker/stalker got close enough to blue jack it, they could trace your location real time via built-in gps, read your text messages, listen in on phone conversations, access application data, stored passwords, credit card numbers, etc. and even possibly remote access the microphone and camera when you're unaware of it (something that the government can already do, and have done in some cases)
@wildbill83 It's not the 'hacking ' part I'm trying to get across in my last statement.

It's that I can fake verification so easily - to you - and to potential people I could 'catfish" - and still make it appear all legit.
