@SW-User yeah I think it's related to fashion.. and there are lots of fashion snobs out there that status flash with brand labels and all that.. and if you don't have the right brands you just aren't looked upon as desirable. it's pathetic but so are most people. probably variations of stuff like that was going on 1000 years ago..
