Why do i often see girls/women looking after their parents as they age.

Not to say men do not,they do as well,however,it is my general observation to see women/girls doing more and more to look after the older parents.

Do men suck at it? Do not have time due to other obligations and priorities? Do not feel as much connected or have way to much on the plate and go?

My experience is narrow, of course, but what I’ve seen is that females have taken care regardless of the strength of connection with their parents but males with a weak connection find it easier to ignore the need. I don’t think this is always the case or that there’s any one reason, but that is something I have seen.
