I learned the value of perspective through pain and hardships..

It made me realize PERSPECTIVE is the most valuable thing you can gain in life and that it should be used to help others.

This is perhaps the single greatest epiphany I’ve ever had. It’s also why I despise victim culture.

I’ll quote a song:
“Embracing you, this reality here.
This one, this form I hold now...
Wide eyed and hopefully—- wild
We barely remember what came before this precious moment.
CHOOSING to be here, right now.
Hold on. Stay inside...
This body... holding me... reminding me that I am not alone in.. this body
Makes me feel eternal all this pain is an illusion.”

Perspective shifts, often for the worst with pain and hardships, and I'm glad you decided to see from a different viewpoint. Not everyone who struggles gains understanding, but lawdy, when it comes to you... clarity can be gorgeous!!

@KayraJordyn I feel like life hammers away at a person and doesn’t stop. I’ve been in some pretty low points and clawed my way out. I feel like I’m now using it to augment my spirit.. Beating life at its own game.
Be careful about that last part. It can all come at you in a way where you don't expect it. When I get cocky, it can backfire. I'm glad you've got some stuff figured out though! Sometimes when a spirit is beat down and it doesn't think it can withstand the circumstances, that's right where you know you won't. When you decide it's impossible. As long as there's a shred of possibility, of light, you have a fighting chance!

@KayraJordyn I knew it sounded cocky when I wrote it... I try to stay humble. And you’re right. Life can be sneaky creative in how it afflicts a person.

Practicing being thankful is a grounding exercise.
