So what is an appropriate amount of time to grieve the loss of a spouse?

I think when it’s stoppinh you from living, that’s when it’s time. You will loose people along the way and I look at nature, I see animals who loose companions.. They don’t stop, they continue.

Yes they may or may not remember their previous partners/mates as we do but I just see it as we can’t stop for what we loose.

You didn’t meet your spouse by staying locked away after a bad relationship, as an example. You moved forward and found someone else.

Not saying you can or should find someone else that’s down to the individual.

So Ye I think when you start to decline yourself you need to take care of yourself. That’s what they would have wanted, that’s how I think about it.

I lost my best friend when I was younger and it was so hard, really hard but you keep moving.. it’s sad in a way but also amazing how we can overcome such things.
