It has to be tough being American:

To be in a country that has everything going for it. A country that has the power to be a world leader. That has a strong and proud history of defending democracy and advancement and see it all hijacked by the right wingers in the name of "Freedom" and "Liberty" while those very things are sold out for political gain and Responsibility and Respect are thrown away.
Thieves on Capitol Hill. Dodgy Used Car Salesmen in the White House. TV and Movies populated by Perverts, Predators and Bigots and a rabid gun toting, bible thumping, semi literate population who are pandered to by appeasers.
No Morals, no ethics and thank goodness, due to the gullibility of the masses and the greed of the few, not too much future.
Will the last intelligent American turn the lights off as he or she leaves and watch the place descend into the Wild West, until they run out of ammo?

The hell of it is-- with a few tweeks of your narrative, this is how conservatives felt under Obama. This is how half the country seems to feel every administration. Yet we keep voting for corporate sponsored politicos who trick us into believing we can have everything we want without sacrificing anything or doing anything, and giving us a wink that they're going to fuck the other guy over. The question then is why don't we learn and who is taking advantage of this dysfunction? Trump et al. is just same game.... but... MOAR, MOAR!

Yes.. Trump is just a symptom of the despair of the electorate.@CopperCicada
@whowasthatmaskedman It could go both ways. Trump is a projection of the electorate. All these Trump shenanigans with tweets and other bullshit is no different than people I deal with every day. The same crassness, self centeredness, and so on. This is why the electorate doesn't have a problem with his conduct. They'd be indicting their own conduct.

Yes.. That was kind of the point of my getting on my soapbox in the first place.@CopperCicada
@whowasthatmaskedman Very nice then. I guess we all need to find something soon. God, sanity, compassion. Just the realization others exist would go far...
