What was the longest amount of time which passed by before you reconnected with somebody you really cared about?

Last time was a day and a half... I was hurting inside, because I knew he didn't deserve how I had treated him... It took another 3 days of talking until i gained the trust I lost.
I think this says a lot about his character,he didn't just run away and he could have very easily

That clock would still be ticking if I hadn't given up hope to ever reconnect.
