That's adorable. :) I remember seeing this guy online who had lost a leg, who would use that to his advantage and make some really creative Halloween outfits based on the absent leg. It's a good reminder that often people who suffer from an impairment, physical or mental, usually develop a good sense of humor about it. I mean, while there would be a natural sadness about it somewhere within them, which might come out on occasion... many people learn to laugh about it, and reshape and adapt to the life they have. I know this for a fact about some people with mental illnesses, especially mood disorders and such (myself included)... it helps to find the 'funny' when life deals you a rough hand. It's good that this kid's parents are encouraging that healthy attitude for him.
