What will the legacy of #metoo be?

helenS · 36-40, F
I think #metoo has increased public awareness about women being molested all the time, and that making public announcements helps a lot.

That it continued the fight started since time immemorial about women trying to be treated as people....

I don’t think it has left us in any better state.

I don’t think people actually get relief by seeing others punished.

It’s probably a mistake to pretend that there is ANY case in which we can hunt down a witch and that be it.

In reality we all play our part. Sexual misconduct will always be in our lives until we understand that it can’t be solved with witch hunts.

The legacy will be: "Be careful about what you think you will get away with doing - even if you get away with it for the time being, it will come back to haunt and embarrass you later."

Most of the MeToo movement is females merely “kissing and telling” and wanting some sort of payout for banging a celebrity... let’s be honest here
