Deep breath....

As a 25-year-old single woman I’m pretty much living in the thickest part of the modern hookup culture –

Perfecting the art of getting the right guy to buy you a drink at a bar, crafting the perfect response to a text to make you seem just interested enough, taking the proper five seconds to adequately judge a person and determine whether or not to swipe left or right on Tinder. That’s the world I live in.

I have to confess: I hatefully despise it with every day lighted fiber of my being.

Dating sucks! I thought it would be more fun. Cute chic at a restaurant, a walk afterwards, porch light moment for the first kiss.

Oh hell no. It's hey you have a match. Now answer this match's hundred questions and then get unmatched. Or text someone for a week or two and really get to know them then set a date to meet and just when it's time you realize that you have been blocked. And if you're fortunate enough that they do show up you realize instantly that all their pics were fifteen years old and you have what resembles your friends mom sitting in front of you.

@Pambi it's probably more rough on your end. Like you said everyone wants to either hook up or claim you as theirs.
