Yes they do and no you don't You do not have to engage with a family member you do not wish. I say this from experience I stop dealing with most tixic person on my family my birth mother
@rfhh1959 My mother too, and i deal with her as much little as possible. But now my future sister-in-law is toxic too and I can’t get rid of her for now.
