You’re never too old to learn

Today I learned something from two different people.

I’ve been a listener for this one person for several years and today while in conversation the topic of First Nationers came up. She said to another person in the group “if it were up to me I’d send all white people back to Europe.”
She noticed my reaction and said “look I like you but if I had a chance I’d send you to Europe. This is my peoples land and you took it.”

Then another person who I’ve been an ear for informed me she distrusts all men: “there’s no such thing as a good or honest or trustworthy man”.

It’s been a Monday.

This is exactly why I find it hard to completely trust others.
You try to be a good friend, there for people, yet...so many can throw you under the bus with no warning. So much for people being there for you after you listen to them for years non-stop!

@seeandhear I understand that people have secrets too. But after being someone people lean om, someone that listens a lot to others, that's a bit uncalled for and rude. At least to me it would be!
