People say giving money to the gvmnt is bad but then they want welfare pensions health roads police fire fighters and so on but all that should be done by what volunteers equipped with sticks and stones? Also population fluctuates and people imagine the government takes their taxes and keeps it till they retire to pay pensions when in fact the people who work pay the pensions of those who worked, their money is long gone. If you stop loaning money to your government it's like stop wasting money on gas to go to work. Sure you saved up a tank worth of cash but you also lost your job for not showing up. Saving a few bucks on taxes screws with the economy of a country and then when it all crashes and everyone suffers who do people blame ? Government instead of their stupid greed.
