I fall asleep with it on every night

Have you tried putting a radio on? Music is soothing. You could eventually wean yourself from the radio. Set the bar for it playing for an hour and then it turns off. Eventually you could sleep without that distraction. Then you would be ready for night sounds with the windows open. Have you ever tried the sound machines at night? I like the ocean sounds or forest ones. TV on constantly interferes with your chi.

@PoetryNEmotion Good Day Poetry....:) actually, the tv has now been going off sometime during the night. But yes, a habit of going to sleep with it on. A matter of self-discipline I guess to change to either radio or night sounds, which I can get from youtube. I didn't think about it interfering with my chi...very good point. Thank you. I value your input.
@Wolfdancer Good day, Wolfdancer. When your lovely mind is quieted more, you will better appreciate the beauty of the night sounds. That tranquility will become a part of you too.

@PoetryNEmotion I actually LOVE night sounds (nature) and sure don't get that where I live. Come to think of it, when I lived outside the city I didn't fall asleep to the tv lol . I will definitely have to make a change.

i used to be like that. now i don't have a tv in my bedroom or ever watch tv, for that matter. i listen to 'pink noise', and i read with a blue light blocker on my laptop. i sleep in a pitch black room, after the the sleep timer goes off on my laptop.
I live in the country myself I can have windows up all the time. It's dungeon dark and I love this.
I can't sleep with any noise or light at all.

@Mondayschild I miss the night sounds....and when the windows were open in the country to capture the breeze that came in and floated over my skin. Now, its the tv and most always have a night light on in every room. I can't even sleep in my bed, I sleep on the sofa. I think about sleeping in my bed....but that's as far as I get.
