Why do people ask about marriage at job interviews? :/

I believe, if hired, they would like to see you make a commitment to your work and your job. If one is married, no matter the sex of that person, they have already shown that they know how to commit- in that case to another person and perhaps a family- as a Mother or a Father. That may make the candidate for the position more desirable. A commitment to marriage, by him or her, shows they are grown up and ready to accept the responsibilities that come with it. It has very little to do with her getting prego and missing a lot of work , legally, due to pregnancy.

@Elandra77 alot of people asked me this question lately so I was little pissed that day. 😅
@SW-User That never bother me. What does bother me is when they want to know what my social media accounts are. And when I say I never had FB and never will they seem angry. But what my account are and where they are at is my business.

@Elandra77 I am lucky that I wasn't asked for social media accounts. 😅
