@Fernie I counseled women for 4 years as a volunteer at a safe house here where I am.

@SW-User So you know about all of it from both sides. I worked for HAWC for a couple years...it broke my heart to see the same women keep picking batterers or going back with their abusive partner.

@Fernie it's a very tough cycle to break. It took me being hospitalized to do it.

@SW-UserIt is very tough. I would never ask an abused woman "why did you stay?" I know why....most don't know...frustrating isn't it?
