People often mistake me for being aloof. Also they try to make me more "happy" by inviting me around to gatherings of people. I understand that being in a group energizes extroverts, and that is great for them but it's not for me.
I would rather visit just you and not 10 other people too.
An additional problem that happened is that at age 17 I discovered that drinking turned me into an extrovert. I quickly developed into an alcoholic who couldn't socialize without being drunk.
Thank goodness I gave up drinking at age 23.
