I'm glad you learned something because of it. Possibly that eventually made you stronger.
My family also moved quite a lot and quite far. My father was a preacher and got transfered between churches. Eventually I discovered that we moved such a lot because he kept on getting caught for shagging women in his congregation of sheep. My mother quietly endured that and only told me yrs later.

Yes we moved a lot. You do develop a good sense of self.

moved a few times. not far enough to change schools and stuff, but enough to start hanging around with the wrong crowds. most of my days were then spent setting fire to people’s gardens & sheds, riding stolen motorbikes through fields with older kids, blahdy blooh

Yes, I did. It did affect me in various ways, all of my life.
