What's the point of medical insurance if it doesn't cover any of the important things?'

I don't like to talk about our government but im just curious to see what everyone else thinks. Why do people who someday will be on these medical insurances not get the medical coverage that they need? Like vision,hearing and dental. Im just curious

Who is paying for it?

@hippyjoe1955 the government but technically it's us the citizens paying our taxes to have better insurances, roads extra

@DisneyGryffindorGirl So how much do you want to pay in taxes?
DisneyGryffindorGirl · 26-30, F
@hippyjoe1955 I really don't know yet.

@DisneyGryffindorGirl How long do you want to wait in line?
Lila15 · 22-25, F
@hippyjoe1955 I don't want to wait in line at all. But if I can't afford medical care, I'd prefer waiting in line for it than not having it at all.

I don't understand the mindset that says medical care is like a car or other commodities, where people should only have what they can afford. I'm looking at significant medical issues for myself, and limited ways to pay for them - do people think I should just die? Apparently, some of them do.
