I had a job interview, and one of the question was wether I have a Facebook account. 😳 And they asked if I use the same name written on the resume. I answered with a wide eye No 😳.
Fortunately I got the job. Facebook or No Facebook.

@Exhibiter100000 @Ladyryan My older sister has applied for jobs without giving her Facebook and she was still able to get them. But from what I've remembered a person once said on here, that you may be less likely to be hired if you didn't give them your fb. And that another person who gave such may be more likely to be hired. Which I found odd since it's optional.

@KandiGhostcat you should not be hired or not based on FB in my opinion but on what you can bring to the company. My dad always told me to always be there for the company. Show them your willing to work. I think I have lost done of this over the years but plan on making changes.

@KandiGhostcat yes it’s optional. I forgot to mention that part. They just wanted to know how you’re doing in public as far as SNS or this days trends. Just something they just wanted to know, but doesn’t really affect anything. Like, not that I care kind of thing.

Depends on the job... Some might ask fur your FB name, some will even demand your password to FB.... Some might do a search of your name ...

@KandiGhostcat not from their point of view... Interview questions are a bit lame... Smart people know how to lie and pretend rather well... But how you behave on FB is more the real you... And if they're paying big money fur you to represent them they want to make sure it's a good fit

@ozgirl512 Some people behave differently in real life and on the internet. People will behave differently everywhere sometimes. But you do have to behave in an interview, answer questions and ask questions. You're more likely to get hired if you do that, as well as fill in everything you need on your application. Giving Facebook is optional though is what Jordan told me and she never gives it to them. She still gets the jobs though. But I guess password would make sense if they can't find your Facebook name, since Facebook allows you to check a setting where your name will not appear on google searches.

@KandiGhostcat I totally agree with you on this.

They can't, but yes they'd sure as hell not hire me LOL

@MartinTheFirst it just makes me wonder sometimes what they do and stuff. Cause it'd be odd to just be sitting there in an interview and them looking at you like "Nope, you're too weird, I am not hiring you." type thing.

@KandiGhostcat They sometimes look at your grades, experience and medical record. Your behavior says a lot about you.
