Do you try to avoid buying products labeled "Made in China"

As someone who's worked a bit in carpentry, I want very much not to sound racist.. but OMFG, you have no idea the frustration when tools and material just fall apart cause they made of.. heh.. well they're certainly made of some kind of filler is what I'm sayin.
