The main way to screw up somebody's life is by giving them what they want.
If you just give it to them, they will never learn how to work hard for something they truly want, that'll give them they key to failure.

Like some parents giving their children everything they want, when they want it. Yes, I see how they turn out..I've been watching some of the Dr. Phil shows lately and I thought I was spoiled xD

I think there's a healthy balance there because the alternative of refusing them anything doesn't sound good either.
