for those who have talked to me: Do I say "lol" too much?

That phrase or whatever it’s classifed as kind of annoys me. Mainly because when people post that in text speech it’s usually not funny. So why does it make that person laugh out loud? Like someone could post that they have cancer and another person will post that 3 lettered crap.

@MsAnnThropy tbh I dont even laugh out loud when I write that (obviously) but I guess its just a way of expressing my happiness besides the occasionally overused ":)"
