This is falsehood. Everyone knows it was a Hollywood movie stage.
xSharp · 31-35, M
@Northwest and who owns hollywood? lol

what else could they stage? ;) ;)
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Hmmm. Is that sarcasm or your real opinion? I’m honestly on the fence slightly leaning to real. At the time it was real and for a long time after. The lack of similar space drama in the following fifty years has created skepticism. @Northwest
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
What is your list of potentially staged events? @xSharp
xSharp · 31-35, M
@jackjjackson basically anything your taught in school is a twisting of the truth or they just leave out 90% of the story, as well as the stories of all others parties involved for that matter, thats the definition of propaganda, one side of the story offered as absolute truth.

"To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize"

@jackjjackson and i kinda believe with absolutly no evidence that we came from mars and are doing the same thing to this planet that we did there. lol

There are a couple of primary reasons why we had an interruption in the lunar program:

1. The Vietnam war strain.

2. The program could not be scaled out economically

To get to the moon, we did not care about the initial cost, as the objective was to put a American man on the moon, before the Russians did. The Russians, as it turns out, did not plan to put a man on the moon.

To establish a regular service to the moon, would not have been economically sustainable, and the manpower needed to support it, was not possible either.

It's a long story, but Mars, not the moon, is our next target. The moon is part of it, but in an indirect way. Step 1, would be mining asteroids for raw materials, with an eye on Mars.

As to the picture, it's a digital enhancement of a software manipulated image.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Makes sense. Moon, been there done that. Why spend money repeating and for what. There have been a few movies showing spacecraft landing on asteroids. Doesn’t seem like anyone is in a hurry to begin the mining. Finding unknown heretofore elements would be amazing. Besides the sake of accomplishment what are the benefits of a human walking on Mars? @Northwest
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Mars is the result of man created global warming? Inasmuch as Mars was cooler than Earth to begin with that was quite a feat. @xSharp
xSharp · 31-35, M
@jackjjackson nope, im talking nukes, lots and lots of nukes, if your interested there is a documentary regarding the cia's research into remote viewing, and what one remote viewer saw on mars despite not being told the co-ords he was given were on mars, i forgot about how they explained it though, i know its fishy but still pretty interesting.

there are many others videos covering this of varying credibility. lol

@jackjjackson It's another baby step, in our journey of exploration. I'm sure Columbus did not fully realize what was to come, when he embarked on that first journey.

The asteroid landings plan, will probably be carried out. A few years ago, NASA was restructured, and the plan was to move it from primarily executing, to research, architecture and planning. Execution will come through private parties. The Trump administration decided that everything done under Obama, was stupid, so they commissioned a new study, and the results came out last week (maybe the previous week). The recommendations were the same.

The important thing now, is that this is part of the proposed budget, and Trump decided to adopt it as his own, which means that he will do some horse trading with McConnell and Ryan to keep it in the budget.

The focus shifts to Pasadena (JPL). To help pay for the plan, partially or fully, in addition to being a crucial part of the supply chain, asteroid exploration will bring valuable metals back to earth.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
From the asteroid landing movies I saw those will be some brave people. @Northwest
Northwest · M
@jackjjackson It will be 100% robotic. The movies stuff is pure Hollywood, though the conditions shown in the movies, are close to reality.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Sure that would account for the utter barrenness shown so far. If ever serious archaeology is done on Mars we will know for sure. Guess it would have been quite awhile ago since at least as far as I know there have been no reports of radioactivity. @xSharp
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Even still it will be a huge engineering feat. @Northwest
xSharp · 31-35, M
@jackjjackson there probably wouldnt be, whatever alien dna that may have been launched here, somehow, still had to evolve for billions of years before our current form was realized, and thats if we were not flat out grown to be slaves for some other race of aliens like its suggested in most creationist religions.

learn about the sanskrit stuff, that indian religion, hinduism is the oldest religion on earth and its all about aliens and space ships and death rays, there is even a giant crater that they claim was caused by

"a bolt of iron charged with the power of 1000 suns"

but the probability alone of a habitable planet being right next door is slim to none however. so there a debunker right there, unless terraforming was possible, but if they knew they were done already that also is unlikely given the short time frame they would have had
Northwest · M
@jackjjackson Already happened, a little over 3 years ago. The European Space Agency's Rosetta Drone (I know, cute play on words), landed on 67P/Churyumov – Gerasimenko, paving the way for future development/work.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Amazing. A serious question. Have you ever tried out for and or appeared on Jeopardy? You’ve supplied me with interesting information I didn’t have on several occasions and it has always been accurate and interesting. @Northwest
Northwest · M
@jackjjackson Jeopardy is on hiatus. Trebek is recovering from brain surgery :-)
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
I’m aware of that. You didn’t answer the question. @Northwest
Northwest · M
@jackjjackson OK, I have to admit that I'm a very stable genius. If I appear on Jeopardy, even on my first try, I would win, and I would be tired of winning :-)

A couple of things:

1. I suck at entertainment industry trivia. Even though I love movies, I avoid, and loathe, the Kardashian/Hilton lack of culture and what it's doing to "role models".

2. I would not want to participate in something that's designed to show what you know some things. I love participation in these discussion here, because they are live conversations, and not just an answer to a question.

... and I think I've only watched Jeopardy once or twice, in a hotel room, decades ago, when ubiquitous internet access was not around, and I was bored out of my skull.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
I’ve seen it more than once or twice. Maybe an average of parts of an episode three times a year on average? Hitting I bad category may be problematic but if strong in all the others just a speed bump.

What exactly do the Kardashians and their ilk do that is in Amy way positive for anyone else? The only quasi serious thing I can come up with is that the dead father was one of OJ’s lawyers?

Winning $150K or so wouldn’t interest you? Of course it WOULD BE taxable 😉

@jackjjackson The Kardashians and Hiltons are famous for being famous, not for doing anything. This is stunning to me. Their claims that they were shocked to see their sex tapes leaked, is a bunch of BS. You cannot, commercially, release a sex tape, without the explicit consent of all the parties involved. They are really good at self-promotion.

Self promotion though, is what Trump is really good at also.

I'm saving myself for the big Lotto prize.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Hahaha. It seems that you and the President have described yourselves with identical words today. Quite the coincidence @Northwest
Northwest · M
@jackjjackson Yes, and I have a dog I called Breitbark
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Had him long? @Northwest
