the russians launched many people out just to die in the vacuum of space and covered them all up, it is difficult to believe we could do any better but then again we had the help of advanced nazi science on our side.
and oh yeah a couple russians came back to earth, one died screaming and cursing his government for lying to him and causing his horrible death burnt to a husk during reentry, and a female russian astronaut died the same way.

@jackjjackson youtube has many vids about it, one italian radio hobbiest man back in the day intercepted radio transmissions of a mans sos coming from space but it was drifting farther and farther out, at the time no one knew about the space program so he was creeped out lol
