Make sure you use an outlet and not a USB port. Also make sure it's a sturdy chsrging cable. The cheap ones won't charge very quickly.
On the plus side, you might not have to deal with that much longer. I read somwthing about new tech allowing a phone to be fully charged in 30 minutes. Also nanotech could lead to breakthroughs in battery capacity and charge time.

go into the app store and get a Fast Charging app, the one I got cut my phones charging time by 1/3

Mine chargers pretty fast,or it's lying to me when it says "100% charged", because it sure does dis fast.
