What do you do when you want something but you aren't prepared for it?

I'm thinking along the lines of love and relationship. I want it but I'm not prepared. I have too much that I need to work on. Too many problems. Too guarded...

@SW-User I think I'm being too patient. Never have been in love. Most people have kids by this age. And no, Im not trying to compete, no I don't want kids. I just want love and feel like it should have happened by now.

@iamnikki You're very young though. Sadly many you know will divorce having married and had children too young. You've more to do. You'll meet someone very unexpectedly. So just keep going☺

@SW-User people keep saying that but its not. Im not trying to marry young nor do i wish I had married already.
