According to string theory matter is indeed just vibration. Vibrations of different frequencies yield different matter. But I don't think that means it's just in our minds. Vibration is still something, even if it isn't technically matter.

oh sue but it is we who call it matter. To us it is matter. Bit it isn't. It is energy, We are energy. I just wondered if Sweeps knew Einstein had said that.

@sogdianrock I knew he said that and I agree it's all energy. But whether it's energy or matter doesn't really matter in practice. But it's intriguing to think about.
