Was Scott Emisten trying to out do Paddock?!!!

This maniac was stopped for speeding with more fire power than Paddock?! Is this a copy cat sicko?!!! I'm all for the right to protect oneself but do we really need semi automatic weapons ( that can be modified to full auto) for self protection?!!!

He probably was another nut job. I don't see the need for semi-auotmatic weapons or items created to modify weapons into semi-automatic. Unless you are being attacked by a gang of 20 or more self defense is not a valid argument and it certainly isn't a good weapon to use if you are hunting.
@SW-User I couldn't agree with u more! That type of weapon should only be for real combat!!!!

@SW-User @Shewolfiie69 Ladies, do you even know what a semi-automatic is? I mean...I'm laughing at the idea of our military going into combat with a semi-automatic revolver or handgun. All semi-automatic means is that the gun loads and then fires ONE bullet per trigger pull. A fully automatic weapon means that you depress the trigger and the gun will continuously fire until all the bullets are gone or you let go of the trigger. I'm trying to figure out how you are an NRA member and concealed carry holder and you don't even know the basic difference between the two.

I never said I was a NRA member or concealed carry holder. That man modified his weapons to make them automatic as you very well know. I may have used the wrong terminology but I still stand by there is no need for weapons that fire that quickly.

@SW-User The other lady said she is. That part of my statement was directed to her.

What he did is illegal. That's the problem. Criminals don't give a rat's ass what the laws are. We don't need stricter gun laws. Chicago has the strictest gun laws in the US, yet they have the highest rate of gun and violent crimes of any other US city.

If I have two armed robbers come into my house, it is likely they automatically have double the ammo that I have between them. Calling the police is fine, but by the time they get to me, they'll likely just be recovering my body. So, there IS reason why I might want a semi-automatic AND an extended magazine on my gun so that I can match or beat their fire power. I have that right, and I should have it. The only people that these gun laws limit are the law abiding citizens and gun owners. They are not the answer.
@SW-User let me be clear ( sorry if u misunderstood me or if I didn't convey myself?!) haha! Of course I know the exactly what a semi- auto is! I've been shooting them at the gun range! What I meant to say is that semi's are being converted into full auto! That's what I think is dangerous and illegal!! The rotary device should not be legal except for the military!!

@imLobo I'm well aware of the laws, thank you. My point was that the laws don't always get it right and there are reasons why an average citizen might want those things that have nothing to do with committing dangerous and illegal acts.

@imLobo federal law prohibits extended magazines? Only in a democrats wet dream.

There is no federal law restricting magazine capacity. If there was I think I'd know about it when I renewed my FFl.

@imLobo Do you understand what the words "shall not be infringed" mean?

@imLobo Lol, yes I have a firm grasp on what the 2nd amendment says and what it means. However, I've been in these debates enough to know it will go nowhere, so I won't continue to argue. Have a nice evening. :-)
