Why don't people smile more often?

Maybe it's because I've been sick most of my life that I gained a different perspective but I'm pretty much always smiling but I swear everyone is always so serious😔 Why?

My face is the only serious part of me...if people can't get past it and judge me over it, they'll never know how chill and lighthearted I am.
