Why do Westerners like "sexy" girls more than "cute" girls?

As you guys can see, there is a huge difference in the defenition of beauty between the East and the West. To generalize things, the West likes "sexy" girls more than "cute" girls. While girls in the West attempt to look as "tempting" to men as possible, Eastern girls tend to be the type where you want to cuddle, hug and look after.
Yet, less than a century ago, fashionable women in the West looked like this:
I wonder why Westerners tend to prefer "sexy" girls, and what caused the transition, can anyone answer? :/
Well, westerners have been given a diet of 'playboy bunnies'; tv advertizers dreams; MTV starlets and everything Hollyweird over the last 50+ years. So no surprises in what they actually prefer is probably media biased. Like most things Westerners prefer. The same might be said for Easterners. The culture in many eastern nations has, in the past, dictated that a woman's role in society is to be subserviant to their male counterparts by providing anything their male dominated societies wanted. From Geisha's to the models you show here. Although it's interesting to see that the 'schoolgirl' fantasy prevails in both cultures !
Why is it only white women for sexy girls and asian girls for cute girls? It is many different types of other women that would be consider cute and sexy. Latina,Caribbean women and Indian girls. Etc
Well easterns are different because they all look alike. And dude how did you split the world like that ? Russian girls are considered eastern yet they look nothing like that. And OMG why would I want to cuddle with people who look like their boys, they don't even have breasts to define their sexe I mean look at em. God !
