Do you save greeting cards?

If so, for how long? Or alternatively, are you opposed to greeting cards and think they are freakin' stupid?

I've never saved them and quite frankly, they're a rip off. Most these days cost about $5. I'd just as soon hear someone just tell me happy birthday rather than waste $5 to say it.
