I believe we are at the point in society where there is no right or wrong only winners and losers in politicals contests.
abortion was wrong for decades prior to roe v wade then abortion was okay and now it is up to the individual states to determine if it is okay or not.

@Pretzel that's how it was before Roe

@SW-User yup. I've heard both sides of the coin: that the Roe V Wade decision was incorrectly framed (not whether abortion is good or bad - just the basis of the decision).
Doesn't mean there couldn't be another court case with different rationales - or that an amendment could define abortion as a right. wouldn't be easy - but if enough people want it as a right - it could be done

@Pretzel The way to amend the constitution is in the constitution itself. It is not through the courts. It is through the legislative branch of government. The idea that a court can confer a right (or remove one) is an anathema to the ideas the founding fathers formed the nation upon.

@hippyjoe1955 the government is built on checks and balances. if the court says something isn't legal - then the legislative and executive can make it legal.

@Pretzel The legislative branch expresses the will of the people. The people elect their representatives.
