Tulsi Gabbard has left the Democrats.

She said that the democrats are led by a war mongering, racist, woke elite that are seeking to undermine every American's God Given rights as enshrined in the American Constitution.

There is not a single "God Given" right in the Constitution.
@OggggO Key word is "enshrined" imo.

We can argue about what God said or should have said, but the drafters didn't rely on that.

@OggggO The Declaration of Independence declares the God given rights. The Constitution secures them .
OggggO · 36-40, M
@Riverman2 The Declaration has no actual legal weight. The Constitution references neither it nor God.

@OggggO Well if it is "God" you object to that is between you and Him. Can you not at least agree that people are equal and have rights that cannot be taken away? The government supposedly exists to protect those rights. Do you object to this too?
OggggO · 36-40, M
@Riverman2 I never said I objected to God, or to people being equal and having rights. I said there are no "God given" rights in the Constitution.

@OggggO So you do not see that the Declaration states that the whole reason for breaking off and starting a new country are the God given rights and that those are secured by the Constitution. That is your privilege to have that viewpoint.
OggggO · 36-40, M
@Riverman2 It's also correct. As I said before, the Declaration has no legal weight, and the Constitution doesn't mention it, God, or anything of the sort. It doesn't even mention the extremely vague rights assert in the Declaration.
Riverman2 · 56-60, M
@OggggO If you do not want to believe that our rights come from God that is your privilege.
OggggO · 36-40, M
@Riverman2 It's also legal fact.
