@DayattheBeach I agree that the Nordic countries -- with their healthcare for all, education for all, and welfare for all who need it -- are mixture of capitalism and socialism. It's a mixture that the right wing in the US strongly resists. What you stated is essentially the "they're not socialist" panel of the cartoon I posted. The bottom panel is the right wing resistance to the Nordic model.

I have talked to many US conservatives and they have expressed opposition to paying for people who refuse to get jobs and have lived from cradle to grave spending other peoples money.. getting housing on other peoples money, having children on other peoples money.. living their entire lives on other peoples money.. They are against the creation of a permanent underclass of people who live lives on welfare.. In fact their opposition against having to pay for other peoples lives in Justified.. They go out and work long hours to pay for themselves and their kids living in near poverty conditions paying taxes and other charges to other people who have not worked a day in their lives can live off their hard labour.. Conservatives are not all billionaires.. many of them are low pay average people struggling to make ends meet..

It is Not a capitalist positon to oppose welfare.. Welfare is independant of economic systems that nations are currently running by..

There are capitalist countries with generous welfare systems..
There are communist countries like China with terrible welfare systems..

I believe you are wrong.. I have spoken to many US conservatives and many of them believe in social support for those who are genuinely in physical need of it.. Some of the biggest donators to charities are conservatives..


Some do some don't.. Again conservatives are more independent in thought then leftists.. AND there is the topic of Human caused global warming that is another topic independent from Global warming issue.. One can believe in global warming but disagree that it is caused by the use of fossil fuels..

Also not being an American makes me discuss things based on my beliefs.. You simply are locked into a US media shell.. Your entire world view is based on the distorted view you have of 7% of the worlds population living on 5% of the earths land surface..
