It's funny how liberals claim to advocate for freedom yet when anyone with leftist views say the same thing libs scream "COMMUNIST"

@BohemianBoo I don’t see that liberal response.
@Fukfacewillie You don't hear Liberals say the reason for wealth gaps is because of "systemic racism" and "white supremacy" all the time?
Fukfacewillie · 51-55, M
@BohemianBoo For blacks, sometimes, yes, but not white supremacy. There is some legacy to historical racism.
@Fukfacewillie Sure, but that's an indictment of Capitalism, not evidence of modern racism.

@BohemianBoo I’m not so much referring to modern racism. More about starting 10 yards back from everyone.
@Fukfacewillie But why are Blacks still behind everyone else so many years later? Liberals will say it's because we still have systemic racism. The real reason is because Capitalism doesn't actually allow for social mobility. And the same thing has happened with the white population. Most white families that were poor a hundred years ago are still poor today.

@BohemianBoo I don’t think there’s one reason, but studies have shown that the American ideal of social mobility is exaggerated. The legacy of racism probably doesn’t help.

My family experienced intense upward social mobility in three generations; right culture, right time in history. My kids will likely have downward social mobility. Times are tough…
@Fukfacewillie The legacy of racism is why the racial wealth gap exists. But if we had a socialist society, it would either be gone or at least be minimal. The fact that it's still around is because of our current system.

There are exceptions, of course. And the same way some exceptions are upward, others are downward.

@BohemianBoo Why wouldn’t there be racism if we had a socialist economic system?
@Fukfacewillie There would still be racism, but the system would reduce poverty on a massive level. We wouldn't have racial wealth gaps like today.

@BohemianBoo I understand, thanks.
