Is Bill Maher a good example of a liberal who still speaks up against excess PC culture when he sees it?

Lol. I love and hate Bill Maher, much like I feel about Jon Stewart.

But both of them are, at heart, comedians who play with politics, as compared to comedians who turned to politics, like Al Franken.

Yes, I think so
I sometimes think he gets too caught up in hysteria or group think on some issues

But when he doesn't he'll stick to his principles even on things that are red hot buttons

@monte3 Bill's good at criticisizing, IMO, be it liberals or Conservatives, but he rarely offers much positive, and when he does, its usually about marijuana, and even that is kind of half hearted. I like the guy, and I like that he plays with controversy, but at the end of the day, he's an entertainer, and all he does is "play."

On the other hand, I like that he stays in his lane with the play stuff.

He’s a libertarianish moderate more than a liberal, and definitely not a leftist. His views about COVID were often absurd.
